Initiative Description
Juris is an educational app developed in-house by Equip Mozambique and the Mozambican Association of Christian Lawyers (AMAC) in 2019. The Juris app presents Mozambican Law in simplified language with images and audio and is linked to a complaints mechanism where users can report cases of injustice or corruption. The complaints mechanism within the app connects users to our partnership network, including lawyers and government departments, who take action to address the complaint. Juris also includes law education campaigns via social media, radio, theater, and in-person talks to promote law and rights knowledge to rural communities, schools, and other people groups with limited access to education or assistance.
