Speaker Bio

Aidan Eyakuze, a Tanzanian national, is the Executive Director of Twaweza East Africa, a leading regional civil society organization that works to enable children to learn, citizens to exercise agency, and governments to be more open and responsive in Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda. Aidan serves on the Board of the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD) and the Open Government Partnership (OGP). Between May 2016 and September 2023, Aidan served on the global Steering Committee of the OGP and as its co-chair together with the Government of Italy in 2022. Aidan is a UWC alumnus, an Archbishop Desmond Tutu Leadership Fellow, and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network (AGLN).
