Dr. Bhekani Mbuli is a distinguished researcher at the forefront of shaping Africa's technological landscape. As the driving force behind the African Union Artificial Intelligence Continental Strategy, he plays a pivotal role within the African Union High-Level Panel on Emerging Technologies (APET) and the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD). Dr Mbuli's work involved facilitating the crafting of the blueprint that empowers African Union Member States to harness the potential of Artificial Intelligence. This strategy focuses on human capital development, infrastructure enhancement, fostering AI-friendly ecosystems, nurturing sustainable partnerships, and reinforcing effective monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. Dr. Mbuli is dedicated to advancing Africa's AI journey for a brighter technological future.
