Initiative Description

PrésiMetre tracks and checks Government promises and claims around various projects. It has a “citizen dialogue” section that allows citizens to submit questions. The Présimètre is a citizen monitoring platform set up in June 2017 by Diakonia, a Swedish NGO specializing in human rights issues. Thirteen civil society organizations (CSOs) from Burkina Faso are taking part in the project, supported by the European Union and Swedish cooperation. The portal also provides its visitors with economic reports, documents from national and international institutions (declaration of general policy by the Prime Minister, Christophe Dabiré, 2018 citizen budget, PNDES, etc.). The platform also organizes debates on governance and on the action of the executive which shed light on citizens, in particular with the radio program Le Dialogue citoyen, where Burkinabè can discuss each month with a different minister.
