Initiative Description

Citizen data – like schools mApped in OpenStreetMap – should be easy to combine and compare with official sources. Information should be accessible and useful to everyone from parents to school directors to government. Feedback on schools will help policy decisions and parent school choices. Open Schools Kenya seeks to make data mean better education for all. Currently, Open Schools Kenya covers all of Kibera, all of Kangemi, part of Westlands constituency, and part of Mathare. We intend to continue to increase coverage. Please inquire if you wish to partner, contribute data, or have any questions.
