Initiative Description
The iParticipate project seeks to leverage the use of open government data to enable citizen participation and more accountable governance. CIPESA used open data available from government portals and sources to analyze service delivery and public investments, especially but not exclusively in the health sector. iParticipate sought to support these existing efforts and to build on them by leveraging open government data (much of it already available in various portals but often in incompatible or inaccessible formats) as an enabler of citizen participation and accountable governance, focusing especially on the health sector.
