Initiative Description
The Beyond the Ballot Box project aims to build on behavioural science research to help the local government increase multiple forms of civic engagement in local communities, from participatory budgeting to advocacy with policymakers and voting. The project plans to identify two Local Governments, each in six states across the country's six geopolitical zones to work with. In collaboration with CSOs and the National Orientation Agency, Beyond the Ballot Box plans to engage the local government and MDAs to promote behavioural change among the citizens.
