Session Overview:

This panel will help journalists and media professionals clearly define the difference between misinformation and disinformation and how to easily identify this on social media. Experts will share misinformation and disinformation campaigns, past and present and respond to the crucial question of whether African governments should place this discussion on their national agenda and work hand-in-hand with media houses and civil society to tackle this.
