Session Overview
Join us for an inspiring pitching session where visionary grantees of the African Union Civic Tech Fund 2024/25 will present their innovative civic tech solutions to a distinguished panel of potential funders and strategic partners. The African Union Commission (AUC), with the support of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), launched the second round of the AUCTF to catalyze and scale innovative civic tech solutions that harness the power of technology to drive citizen-led transformative action across the African continent. Aligned with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, these innovative projects are driving transformative change in communities, addressing critical social issues, and leveraging technology to enhance civic engagement, transparency, and governance. This session offers a unique opportunity to witness the next generation of civic tech innovations and explore how you can partner with them to amplify their impact across the continent. Invited attendees will have the opportunity to provide insights and feedback to the grantees, as part of the ecosystem development and mentorship support facilitated through the AUCTF.
The pitching session will be followed by a reflection session with the AUCTF grantees to gather their insights from CTIF24: #UnderTheHood, and how their experiences (and connections) forged during the conference can benefit their work going forward.
Session Objectives
- Showcase potential and impact of innovative Civic Tech Solutions
