Renewing The Open Government in South Africa: Progress and Innovation

The overall aim of this 2022 Open Gov Week event is to provide an open, neutral platform to support discussions by open government reformers inside and outside government on how best to continue the Open Government Partnership revival in South Africa.

During this event, the following themes will be discussed:

  • Theme 1: The open government ecosystem
  • Theme 2: Innovation in the public service/navigating power
  • Theme 3: The media and open government initiatives
  • Theme 4: Learning, adapting, and reflecting

This session will be hosted in collaboration with the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA), OGP Support Unit, and the OGP Interim Steering Committee for South Africa.
